This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2015. As has been the case for several years, DC Entertainment has put together another amazing collection of original props and costumes within their exhibitor space at Comic-Con. This year, they have Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman costumes (duplicated at their two booths) from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as well as a variety of costumes from their television series The Flash and Arrow. Julien’s Auctions has published three online catalog for their upcoming sales – “Hollywood Legends”, “Property from the Estate of Sid & Florence Casesar” and “Property from the Estate of Dom DeLuise”, all taking place at their Beverly Hills gallery on June 26th and 27th. Bonhams will be holding their “Entertainment Memorabilia including Animation Art” (auction 22444) sale event in London on June 24th. This sale includes 291 lots featuring a mix of film/television as well as rock and roll and popular music related memorabilia. [Read more…]
Premiere Props have listed their next auction as part of their “Hollywood Extravaganza XVIII”. The one-day auction is scheduled for June 27th, marketing 600 lots (though with two weeks to go, only 68 appear on the iCollector listing). As with past auctions, the sale includes a mix of original props, costumes, and other film and television artifacts, as well as general Hollywood Memorabilia and a lot of replicas/reproductions/toys. Heavy metal rock star and filmmaker Rob Zombie is offering fans a chance to bid on original movie props and costumes from his films, including Halloween 2 and Lords of Salem. There is a minimum bid of only $300 on each lot. In addition to authentic movie memorabilia are other opportunities, such as meet and greets during his upcoming tour and autographs. The crowdfunding campaign is scheduled to end on May 10th at midnight. Proceeds will go toward funding his next film, 31. [Read more…]
