Charity Auction: Auction Cause Offers Original Props from “Survivor Caramoan: Fans vs. Favorites” on eBay
As per tradition at the close of each season, original props and artifacts from the long running reality television series, Survivor, are being offered at auction on eBay by Auction Cause, with proceeds benefiting charitable organizations. The auction began with last night’s conclusion of this season – Caramoan: Fans vs Favorites – which revealed John Cochran to be the winner of the $1 million dollar prize. The auctions run through May 22nd and 100% of the proceeds will be split evenly between The Alliance for Children’s Rights and Survivor Stand Up To Cancer.
Movie Prop Thief Caught On Tape UPDATE – Stolen John Wayne & William Holden Movie Prop Guns Returned, Reward For Thief Still At Large
KATU.com today reports that the movie prop guns that were on display at Movie Madness (a Winchester rifle used by John Wayne in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) and a shotgun used by William Holden in The Wild Bunch (1969)) and stolen last Summer were returned to the store by a third party this past weekend. In July 2012, the Hollywood memorabilia was stolen from the store and captured on video in the Portland, Oregon store. Law enforcement are still asking for the public’s help finding Erick Duanne Johnson, 47, based on the evidence in the video tape recording of the theft, and Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to Johnson’s arrest. As is the case with each season, original props and artifacts from the latest seasons of Survivor, Survivor Philippines, are being offered at auction on eBay by Auction Cause, with proceeds benefiting a variety of charitable organizations. The auction began Sunday night with the conclusion of this season of the show, which revealed Denise Stapely to be the winner of the $1 million dollar prize this time. The auctions run through next Wednesday (apologies for the delay in running this – have been traveling and wanted to stay spoiler free until I caught up with the show tonight).
