The ‘Lord of the Rings in Concert’ tour launched last night in Glendale, Arizona with eight more dates in other cities through the rest of October. Lord of the Rings movie prop and costume collector Troika will be traveling with the symphony and putting some of his remarkable collection on display for concert attendees. Premiere Props/Hollywood Live Auctions is hosting what has become their annual “Fangoria’s Annual Movie Prop Auction”. This year, it will be at their El Segundo facility on October 22nd and 23rd. As per usual, auction service providers LiveAuctioneers and iCollector have both published the catalog online. The marketing for the event claims over 1,000 items made available for sale, including a mix of original and replica material. Though the sale is Fangoria-branded, it is not limited to the horror genre films/productions; much of the material is from a variety of other types of film, including drama, sci-fi, and action.
