The auction house is taking $20 donations for photo opportunities with the famous movie car, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Team Fox, Michael J. San Diego Comic Con 2011: Preview Night, Photos of Original TV & Movie Props and Costumes on Exhibit
Wednesday night was the special “preview night” for Comic Con 2011 in San Diego. To kick off annual coverage of original television and movie prop and costume related material from the biggest pop culture event of the year, as is tradition, the Original Prop Blog is publishing photos from the main exhibit hall of Comic Con of some of the related items on exhibit and display. This year includes pieces from Dark Knight, Watchmen, Superman Returns, Inception, The Hangover Part II, 300, The Three Musketeers, and Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance, and Men in Black 3. TMZ Reports on Cease & Desist Sent to Profiles in History Over “Rocky” Boxing Gloves; Sylvester Stallone Claims They Are Not Authentic
TMZ today reports that auction house Profiles in History have been sent a letter by Lavely & Singer, litigation counsel for Sylvester Stallone, regarding Lot 1069 from their “Hollywood Auction 44” catalog, published yesterday. Per the report and copy of the letter published by TMZ, Stallone’s attorney claims that the “pair of screen-used Sylvester Stallone ‘Rocky Balboa’ boxing gloves” attributed to Rocky (1976) are not authentic. Membership passes for San Diego Comic Con International 2011 will go on sale at 9:00 am Pacific Time on November first. Next year’s show will be held July 21-24. For the past several years, tickets have sold out online far in advance of the show.
