I did not learn of this auction promoted by Lloyds Auctioneers and Valuers until now, which appears to have taken place on 03/27/2011 Australia time (yesterday). While the title of the auction is “Costumes & Props from Major Fantasy Movie”, there is a page on their official website with photos entitled “Narnia”. A news article by Gold Coast News reports that the material sold was from The Chronicles of Narnia, The Voyage of the Dawn Trader. [Read more…]

Propworx, known for their auction of original props, costumes, and other production material from Battlestar Galactica, has now begun selling entertainment memorabilia from the Stargate franchise on eBay on behalf of MGM, with plans of holding two live auctions selling such material in the future. As reported back in May, Premiere Props is hosting their “Massive Car and Movie Prop Auction” next weekend, August 15th, in Los Angeles at LA Center Studios. Auction service provider iCollector has at least some of the catalog online, featuring over 300 vehicles, props, and costumes used in film and television and other Hollywood memorabilia. [Read more…]
