Impressions: Profiles in History “Hollywood Auction 37” Event
Profiles in History’s Hollywood Auction 37 was held Thursday and Friday, which offered a number of original television and movie props, costumes, and other memorabilia. The auction was held on site at the Profiles in History offices in Calabasas Hills, with off-site bidding available over the Internet via iCollector, as well as direct via mail, fax, and by phone. I was fortunate to have had an opportunity in 1995 to see a very special exhibit of original props, costumes, models, and other assets from Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Entitled “The Art of Star Wars”, the pieces were provided by Lucasfilm and the event was hosted by the Center for the Arts in Yerba Buena Gardens, San Francisco. [Read more…]
“Mad Men” Original TV Props Featured in “Stars on the Set” in Latest Issue of Entertainment Weekly
The latest double issue of Entertainment Weekly (#1069/1070 – October 9, 2009) has a cover feature entitled “Stars on the Set” which includes behind the scenes coverage of a number of current productions in movies and television.
