The one-day auction is scheduled for February 7th with over 700 lots. Julien’s Auctions will be holding several events next month, including their Icons & Idols event on December 5th & 6th in Beverly Hills (with collections including Property From The Life and Career of Marilyn Monroe and Property From The Gold and Silver Pawnshop (featured on the popular television series Pawn Stars), as well as an online-only Sports sale concluding December 1st. The Icons & Idols sale will also include a collection of wardrobe from Diana, Princess of Wales, property from the estate of Gypsy Rose Lee, and the Colin Cantwell Collection (already featured on the Original Prop Blog). Later this month, Bonhams will be holding their follow-up to last years, “What Dreams Are Made Of: A Century of Movie Magic at Auction as Curated by Turner Classic Movies”. On November 24th, again in conjunction with Turner Classic Movies, they will host the “TCM Presents… There’s No Place Like Hollywood” live auction New York (and simulcast in Los Angeles) on November 25th. TCM will “make a contribution to support The Film Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting and preserving motion picture history”. [Read more…]
