I am in London currently, and had an opportunity to drop by the fantastic new “Bond in Motion” exhibit at London Film Museum in Covent Garden. The brilliant exhibition features cars used in James Bond films over the past 50 years, as well as some key movie props and costumes from the 007 franchise. I’ve always been a huge fan of London Film Museum and their mission, and as always they have put together a great collection of film memorabilia in a classy and artful way – they are really the best in the business when it comes to displaying pop culture artifacts. Concerns in Marketplace Over Authenticating Movie Prop Slates & Clapperboards: Update 3 (Terminator 3 Case Study)

Analysis: Indiana Jones Fedora, Bullwhip, Jacket with “Lucas Film Ltd.” Certificate of Authenticity (“DNA Authentic”)
The Prop Store of London provided information today regarding an Indiana Jones costume (fedora, jacket, and bullwhip) being offered for sale in the marketplace with a “Lucas Film Ltd.” Certificate of Authenticity which appears to be a fraudulent document made using the distinct Warner Bros. “DNA Authentic”style COA as a model along with a photo of a genuine costume from the Lucasfilm archives. Olga Kurylenko’s Dress from Quantum of Solace Sells at Charity Auction
The Prada dress and Gina shoes worn by Olga Kurylenko in the latest James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, sold for £7,000 in a charity auction event to benefit the Muir Maxwell Trust. The “Casino Royale” event raised a total of £400,000 in the organization’s efforts to support to children and their families coping with severe epilepsy. [Read more…]
