Terminator Endo Skull on eBay, Part 2 (Blu-Ray Stills, The Winson Effect)
This is a continuation of the first article looking at the “SCREEN-USED ENDOSKELETON HEAD FROM THE 1984 FILM “TERMINATOR” STARRING ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER”. I have compiled high resolution screen captures from The Terminator Blu-Ray Disc. I have also researched the great detail about the development and filming of the Terminator endoskeleton and skull by Stan Winston Studios in the book, “The Winston Effect” (see Book Review: The Winston Effect). These images and information are compared and contrasted with the endo skull offered at auction that is “MADE COMPLETELY OUT OF METAL”. [Read more…]
Terminator Endo Skull On eBay
I’ve received a number of inquires about the authenticity of the metal Endo skull on eBay, so I thought I would post a response here and archive the auction for future reference. I have not researched the piece beyond the auction listing, and from my point of view, it has not been proven authentic nor inauthentic, so I would personally view authenticity as inconclusive. Batmobile Makes Brief Appearance on eBay?
Per Jalopnik.com, one of five original Batmobiles from Tim Burton’s Batman was listed on eBay starting at $500,000. It appears that the listing has since been removed by eBay, but according to the article, “Found on eBay: Tim Burton’s Batmobile Makes You Feel Like Michael Keaton“, these are the photos and accompanying marketing description from the listing: [Read more…]

The award-winning Oshkosh Public Museum in Wisconsin is holding an “Out of This World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television” exhibition from February 16-May 18, 2008. This exhibition is created by the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame of Seattle, Washington. Pieces in display include the original hat worn by the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz, a whip and jacket from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Darth Vader’s helmet and lightsaber, a jumpsuit and Proton Pack from Ghostbusters, and more. [Read more…]
Little John’s Auction Service “Extremely Important Collector’s Auction” January 22-23, 2008
In in quick review of the new catalog for the Little John’s Auction Service January 22-23 event (“Extremely Important Collector’s Auction“) , there does not appear to be much of interest to movie and television original prop collectors specifically (though a few non-Stembridge pieces): [Read more…]
Stembridge Auction Report, Part 12: Al Pacino Pistol from Heat
As was the case with the Point of No Return pistols (see Auction Report, Part 7),when I was originally researching the Stembridge Collection catalog for Little John’s Stembridge Collection Auction, one of the few pieces on my “short list”, which I considered secondary to my two top wants (the T2 and True Lies pistols) was one of the pair of Heat sidearm pistols offered, which were attributed to use by Al Pacino in the Michael Mann film. “Guns Magazine” Stembridge Gun Rentals Article – Circa 1998
Thanks to Brandon Alinger for sending me this article some time ago. Unfortunately, I forgot I even had it before the Little John’s Stembridge Auction, as it featured some pieces actually auctioned off back in June (notice the grips on the Payback and Titanic pistols match one of each auctioned off). This is an excellent article about Stembridge Gun Rentals written by John Fasano with incredible photos by Ichiro Nagata.
I did recently contact the writer of the article, and interestingly enough, Stembridge closed before the article was published, so it seems it must have been done right toward the end.
