As part of the continuing coverage by the Original Prop Blog, below is the first in a series of videos showcasing material to be auctioned in the upcoming Profiles in History “Hollywood Auction 40” event scheduled for June 10-12. In this first interview with Joe Maddalena, President and CEO of Profiles, he offers his insight into the pink dress worn by Marilyn Monroe during the ‘Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” scene in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953). This gown is one of several iconic pieces that was featured on ‘The Today Show’ this morning on NBC and will be on ‘Fox and Friends’ on Fox News Channel on Saturday.
