The Movieum of London will be celebrating its one year anniversary in March, and the celebration will be marked with a special exhibition by world renowned armourer Terry English.
Jonathan Sands of the Movieum explains, nothing that “legendary armourer and designer Terry English, well known for his work on classic Movies including Excalibur, Aliens, and Batman, will be making The Movieum his home“. Mr. Sands says that Mr. English will be creating “a fantastic complete Excalibur set, complete with many of his original pieces“.
Excalibur Directed by John Boorman’s Excalibur was released in 1981, and the display created by Mr. English will include original, principal pieces such as.
- The complete Nicol Williamson Merlin costume, including cloak and helmet
- The Robert Addi Mordred armor
- The black and the silver Patrick Stewart Leondegrance costumes
- King Arthurs black suit
- Nicholas Clay’s Lancelot costume
Sands remarked, “these costumes haven’t been on display for over 20 years and that was for the 10 year anniversary in a little town called Wren”. [Terry English] is truly a living legend with a very positive and powerful aura around him. Terry will also be making The Movieum his London studio!”
I will provide an update on these developments once the display is completed and I obtain some photography of the new exhibit.
