Heritage Auction Galleries is hosting their “Heritage for the Holidays” catalog on their HA.com website. Among “holy grail” of offerings – including stamps, comic books, sports memorabilia, art, book first editions, currency, historical artifacts, – are a handful of movie-related memorabilia pieces. Included is an F-16 Fighting Falcon attributed to X-Men 2 and Independence Day.
The full catalog can be found at HA.com:
While Heritage is known for their auction-format events, this appears to be a fixed-price group of very high end items available for open sale.
The movie entertainment related memorabilia includes:
- “Rare handwritten letter by action film star Bruce Lee” – $14,500
- “Gone with the Wind (MGM, 1939) Six Sheet (81″ X 81″)” – $17,500
- “The Raven (Universal, 1935) One Sheet (27″ X 41″) Style D” – $60,000
- “George Clooney Batman Prop Cowl and Head (1997)” – $18,000
- “Swing Time (RKO, 1936) 24 Sheet Billboard Poster (9′ X 20′ Approx.)” – $50,000
- “Screen-Used F-16 Fighting Falcon from X-Men 2 and Independence Day.” – $140,000
Though the movie prop-related memorabilia is scarce (and in the case of the F-16, a bit impractical), it is an interesting catalog to browse.
