Superman The Movie Costume S shield
To whom it may concern:
The S emblem is one of the original emblems from a Superman walking cape. Cape was in distressed condition and emblem was removed to salvage. Emblem is yellow with black thread.
During the late 1980’s to early 1990’s I had the pleasure of assisting Salkinds production in their Adventures of Superboy television series. As a model for the Superboy costume, we were given access to the original Superman costumes of Berman’s of England. This emblem was given to me as a gift. The above is true and correct.

The Superman costume archived in the August 2008, Part 1 article as since been relisted on eBay:

This piece of movie history comes with a letter of providence signed by Ana Mungia.
There is an additional current auction for a Superman costume, outside of eBay, but that will be the subject of a stand alone article.
