San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Marvel Entertainment Part 4/Saturday “Women” & Part 5/Sunday “Villains” Costume Exhibit

This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2018. Marvel is centrally located in the Exhibit Hall as per usual, and they’ve updated the props and costumes on display daily.  This feature will cover both Saturday and Sunday. San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Costume Designers Guild “Black Panther” and “Justice League” Costume Exhibit

This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2018. San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Marvel Entertainment Friday/Part 3 “Thor” Costume Exhibit

This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2018. San Diego Comic-Con 2018: DC Comics “The DC Universe Experience” Featuring “Titans” Prop & Costume Exhibit

This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2018. Off site from the convention center, across the street in the Gaslamp District, there was a special event at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp: The DC Universe Experience.  The interactive experience – which included “Doom Patrol Chief’s Lab”, Titans Dick Grayson’s Loft”, “Harley Quinn Chaos Room”, “Swamp Thing Swamp Course”, and “Young Justice Watch Tower” also included a number of original TV and movie props and costumes from past and upcoming DC properties.  All was put together to promote the new “DC Universe” “digital experience” membership to watch, shop, read and connect. San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Marvel Entertainment Thursday/Part 2 “Captain America” Costume Exhibit

This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2018. Marvel is centrally located in the Exhibit Hall as per usual, though the exhibit space had original costume pieces up front and in a case this year, which is a departure from their usual open air displays up on the stage. I suspected Marvel might have more up their sleeve than what appeared on exhibit on Preview Night on Wednesday – Iron Man costumes – and stated if they added more as the convention went on, I would update that original article.  On Thursday, they added an example of each of the Captain America costumes seen in the related films, and I took so many photos I thought it would be better to publish a second dedicated feature.  This one shows the Captain America costumes worn by Chris Evans in Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers: Infinity War.  UPDATE Also see Wednesday/Part 1 with Iron Man, Friday/Part 3 with Thor and Part 4/Saturday “Women” & Part 5/Sunday “Villains”. San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Profiles in History Movie Props and Costumes Exhibit Showcases Future Auction Highlights

This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2018. Profiles in History has been exhibiting at Comic-Con for many, many years, and on exhibit were movie props for the most part, from an as yet to be announced live auction.  The pieces ticked the boxes of many of their favorite franchises – Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Terminator, X-Men, Wizard of Oz, etc. [Read more…]

San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Prop Store TV & Movie Props and Costumes Exhibit Promotes Upcoming Live Auction

This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2018.  Prop Store continues to put together impressive exhibits at Comic Con, and 2018 might be their best yet.  Most of the space in 2018 is dedicated to their “Treasures From Film and Television” live auction in London on September 20th.  Also on display are some masks from their current online exclusive Power Rangers auction. San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Marvel Entertainment Wednesday/Part 1 “Iron Man” Costume Exhibit

This is part of my ongoing coverage of San Diego Comic-Con 2018. Marvel is centrally located in the Exhibit Hall as per usual, though the exhibit space had original costume pieces up front and in a case this year, which is a departure from their usual open air displays up on the stage.  But knowing Marvel, they do have a tendency to change things up each day and there may be more coming (and if that is the case, this feature will be updated).  This year on display as of Preview Night, they had an Iron Man Mark I costume from the original Iron Man as well as a helmet and civilian costume worn by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in Avengers: Infinity War.  UPDATE also see Thursday/Part 2 with Captain America, Friday/Part 3 with Thor and Part 4/Saturday “Women” & Part 5/Sunday “Villains”.
