The print and online catalogs are now available, and online bidding is now live for Prop Store and Summit Entertainment’s two-day live-auction event of original props, costumes, and set decoration pieces used in The Twilight Saga (Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2). The live event features more than 900 lots of props, costumes and other film memorabilia. The Smithsonian Institution Launch Kickstarter Campaign to Raise $300,000 to Preserve Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers from Wizard of Oz
The Smithsonian Institution launched a new Kickstarter campaign yesterday in an effort to raise $300,000 for their preservation efforts with the Dorothy ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz that is in their collection. Los Angeles Times Article Picks Apart New Autograph Anti-Fraud Legislation (California Assembly Bill AB 1570)
As a follow-up to my prior articles on the topic of the new Autograph Anti-Fraud Legislation (California Assembly Bill AB 1570) , Michael Hiltzik of the Los Angeles Times has published his own piece highlighting issues with the law and real world impacts on California businesses, independent bookstores in particular. Autograph Anti-Fraud Legislation (California Assembly Bill AB 1570) Now Law
Back in January, I wrote about Mark Hamill & Assemblywoman Ling Ling Chang’s efforts to pass autograph anti-fraud legislation in California in the form of Assembly Bill AB 1570. California Governor Jerry Brown signed this into law last month. While I applauded the intention and efforts behind the proposed law back in January, I outlined a series of issues with it.
