This morning the Gilt Group has opened its sale of original props from the Woody Allen film ‘Midnight in Paris’ on it’s website. The site states that all net proceeds from the sale of this original memorabilia from the Academy Award nominated film will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Many of the items offered in the sale were vintage-era antiques circa the 1920s, purchased at Paris flea markets and put to use in the film.
Items can be found and bids placed at www.gilt.com:
This sale just opened five minutes ago, and as I write this, many items are instantly “reserved” (likely sold) and “sold out”, so it appears to be a sale, rather than an auction.
Gilt Groupe previously offered original material from ‘The American’, which benefited the American Red Cross International Response Fund (see “Focus Features and Gilt Groupe Inc Offer Original Props and Costumes from ‘The American’ Starring George Clooney”).
