Yesterday the Cinémathèque Française in France began their incredible Stanley Kubrick exhibition, which includes the display of original props, costumes, and production material from his classic films. The attraction will run through the end of July. The traveling exhibition has previously been presented in various cities since 2004, including Berlin, Zurich, Gand, Rome and Melbourn.
Euronews Le Mag published a video featurette on the exhibit, which can be viewed below as well as on their official YouTube channel:
Full details can be found at the official website for the museum, www.cinematheque.fr:
The website also includes an online virtual exposition:
Kubrick is best known for films such as Spartacus, Lolita, Dr. Stangelove, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, and The Shining, and is regarded as one of our greatest filmmakers. In 2008, the Original Prop Blog reported on The Stanley Kubrick Archive at the University of the Arts London, in their Archives and Special Collections Centre, which is open to the public (see The Stanley Kubrick Archive, The Telegraph’s “A Props Odyssey”). Kubrick passed away in 1999.
