The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) will be presenting their “19th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design” annual costume exhibit, featuring more than 100 original costumes from more than 20 films released in 2010, including pieces from Shutter Island designed by Sandy Powell, Alice in Wonderland by designer Colleen Atwood, and The Wolfman by designer Milena Canonero. Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards Ceremony Charity Auction Begins Today
The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) is holding a short, four-day auction of television and movie memorabilia as part of their 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. As reported over recent weeks, Antique Helper offered a collection of mostly Superman-related costumes and memorabilia yesterday, the descriptions of which included caveats and disclaimers as to provenance and authenticity. Generally, the auction results for the costumes highlighted in the prior articles were lackluster, in terms of comparable confirmed authentic examples of the same style and type of wardrobe pieces.
