Focus Features and Gilt Groupe Inc. have offered for sale props and costumes from Anton Corbijn’s The American, starring George Clooney. The site requires registration, and the pieces offered for sale are at a fixed price. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross International Response Fund.
Anton Corbijn is a world-famous Dutch photographer who then became a well-regarded music video director, most notably working extensively with U2 and Depeche Mode. Corbijn has even paid homage to his own work (Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida” music video reflecting themes and imagery from Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence” and The Killers, “All These Things That I’ve Done” doing the same with Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus”). In recent years made his directorial debut with Control in 2007.
