Jai Pausch, widow of Carnegie-Mellon University Computer Science professor Randy Pausch, has donated a uniform that he wore in J.J. Abrams Star Trek film for charity auction on eBay. Mr. Pausch achieved national recognition following his “The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”, in which he articulated his experience in battling terminal pancreatic cancer and conveyed inspirational life lessons. Per the auction listing, 100% of the sale price of the costume will benefit the Seena Magowitz Foundation.

Randy Pausch, a Carnegie-Mellon Computer Science professor (and “Star Trek” fan) who gained widespread fame as the author of a “Last Lecture” in which he discussed living the life of his dreams in the face of terminal pancreatic cancer, was invited by J.J. Abrams to appear as an extra in this film. Pausch wrote in his blog about the experience, “I got a custom-made Star Trek uniform and my own station on the bridge, where I had lots of buttons and controls. I even got a LINE!!!!”
Pausch died of Pancreatic Cancer on July 25, 2008.
This one of kind unform was donated by Randy Pausch’s wife, Jai. Winning bidder will receive a letter of authenticity from Jai Pausch.
