The Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago, Illinois is hosting a Harry Potter exhibition from April 30-September 27, 2009. The world premiere exhibit will include the display of over 200 original props and costumes from the Harry Potter movies.

Enjoy a first-hand look inside the famous wizard’s magical world in Harry Potter: The Exhibition. This world premiere exhibit-opening April 30, 2009-has been extended nearly three weeks to accommodate demand for tickets. Reserve your date to experience the craftsmanship of more than 200 authentic costumes and props from the Harry PotterTM films, displayed in settings inspired by the film sets.
Along the way, fans will get an up-close and personal look at some of their favorite props and costumes from the Harry PotterTM films. Harry’s original wand and eyeglasses, elaborate outfits from the Yule Ball, and GryffindorTM school uniforms are just some of the iconic items on display. They will also be able take a tour through Hagrid’s hut, enter a QuidditchTM area to toss a “Quaffle,” and may even encounter a few creatures like BuckbeakTM or a giant Acromantula spider along the way.
The Museum of Science and Industry is pleased to invite you to experience this imaginative world for yourself in the world premiere of Harry Potter: The Exhibition. This exhibition will be the only Midwest stop during the exhibit’s U.S. tour.
