In a prior article, “Classic” Film & Television Prop and Wardrobe eBay Sellers, I made note of a number of similarities between the items offered for sale on eBay by “jsnent” (confirmed to be John Tarter of L.A. Prop and Wardrobe) and “jnsmcmahan“. This serves as a short update including a pictorial side-by-side comparison of photos from listings offered under each account.
I had noticed that some months ago that the “jnsmcmahan” account had listed a “serving pot” that essentially serves as a mirror reflecting the photography and lighting set-up of the seller:
jnsmcmahan Photo: “!VINTAGE ALUMINUM SERVING POT THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW!” (eBay Item #170256720007)
jnsmcmahan eBay Listing: “!VINTAGE ALUMINUM SERVING POT THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW!” (eBay Item #170256720007)
Recently, I found one example from each seller – jsnent and jnsmcmahan – in which not only the backdrop matches, but the table, wide variety and configuration of lighting units, drop cloth, and other details reflected in the objects appear to match.
jnsmcmahan Example
