The following Reader Comment was published by the seller of the replica Jawa sandscrawler on eBay, in response to the last update (see …History from the Model Maker), with regard to the model being offered for sale (see eBay: “Original” Star Wars Jawa Sandcrawler & Statistical Authentication?):

Actually, thanks for the info.. I am not trying to rip anybody off.. those statistical odds are simply my best guess, but the information here has convinced me that it is probably a fan built model. Still worth the money I am asking.. I said it would not be seen again and you probably wont, because it probably wont sell for my $5000 reserve… I appreciate the work that somebody put into this… I would like it know what you think it actually worth… as I stated, I will probably end up keeping it.. and as far as I know I have never seen anything like this posted on Ebay… but then again, I am not on everyday and am not active in the collectible community.. I made a couple of typos on the name and really cant remember where it came from other than it was Arizona or New Mexico.. As you can see from my feedback, I am an honest seller and have sold some very high end stuff. Please don’t assume that everybody that is not an expert is out to rip somebody off. I will probably let the auction end, then repost with the new information that I have.
I still feel that there is a possibility that Diepenbrock made the model, but with your detailed history, it certainly was not in the actual production loop.
Thanks for all your hard work

http://www.originalprop.com/blog/?p=4065#comment-1993 Go here: It is not an authentic production model… But read the note from Mr Diepenbrock.. He did in fact make the model.. So, its not a production model, not a fan built model. Mr Diepenbrock simply made it himself.
