This upcoming Saturday and Sunday, Premiere Props and Hollywood Roadshow will hold one of their “Prop and Pinball” auctions. This “roadshow” auction will be held at Premiere Props in El Segundo, CA on June 21-22, offering 1,200 items. The catalog is available online at icollector.com.
As far as original props and costumes go, most offerings are from recent and current films that Premiere Props has sold in quantity previously on eBay: Team America, P.S. I Love You, 27 Dresses, Lords of Dogtown, Underworld 2, Resident Evil 3, Scary Movie 4, Aeon Flux, Down in the Valley, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, etc.
One curious offering is Lot 125: Star Wars Duros Head Movie Props
This is curious due to the fact that the same piece, or one just like it, was auctioned and sold in the Hollywood Roadshow event in November 2007.

As longtime readers of the OPB know, I had significant issues with my personal experience bidding at one of the past Hollywood Roadshow events (see “Dealer/Event Review: Premiere Props, Hollywood Roadshow“).
A few days ago, a reader shared his own experiences with one of these auction events in another article on this event, in the form of a “Reader Comment” (see “Upcoming Hollywood Roadshow Live Auction in Los Angeles – June 21-22, 2008“):

In the past, there have been a few other locations where this Roadshow would take place. The pinball machine portion of the roadshow has other stops. Maybe that’s how they justify the “Roadshow” name.
In any event, it should be interesting to see if they actually get their act together this year. In the past, there have been terrible inaccuracies and a shameful record of manipulation of winners. All with the bonus of an auction house fee.
2 years ago I spent a lot of money on auctions and it took 6 months to get the stuff with incomplete COAs. And the legacy of Items won and not received at all now spans 3 years. So I don’t know if I have the energy to do this again this year. maybe I’ll focus on 1 or 2 items and leave with my sanity.
