An original James Bond tuxedo worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale is one of the memorabilia pieces to be auctioned in The “Great British Movie Event”, a fundraiser on June 17, 2008 at the Old Billingsgate in London with proceeds benefiting the National Film and Television School.
Jonathan Ross will host the event, which is expected to draw celebrities such as Hugh Grant, Rowan Atkinson, Richard Curtis, Stephen Fry, and others.
Some of the memorabilia scheduled to be auctioned include:
- One of Daniel Craig’s “James Bond” tuxedo’s from Casino Royale
- A bowling ball from The Big Lebowski signed by the Coen Brothers
- An uncorrected proof of the first Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, signed by JK Rowling
- Props from the Harry Potter films
- A collection of figurines, headed by Wallace and Gromit on their motorbike-and-sidecar
- “Walk-on” parts in Working Title’s new romantic comedy Lost for Words
I found no details about the possibility of off-site bidding at this time.
